Please be certain to use complete scientific plant names when filling out the order blank. In many cases, we offer more than one variety of a given species and without the entire name, we have no way of knowing exactly which plant you want.

Conditions Of Sale
PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING
PRICING: The prices included in our downloadable PDFs are for bare root
plants available in spring and/or fall. Potted stock is available for purchase at
the nursery but it is priced higher depending on plant size and to accommodate
the costs of potting supplies and care of the plants.
GUARANTEE: We are a state-licensed nursery and our stock is inspected annually. We guarantee all plants to be strong, healthy and true to name. If there is a problem with your order, please let us know immediately and we will take the steps necessary to correct it. We do not, however, guarantee the hardiness of any plant over the winter.
HARDINESS: All plants offered in this catalog are normally hardy in U.S.D.A. Zone 4 with snow cover unless noted otherwise in the text. We have not attempted to establish the southern limits of our offerings and would recommend you check with local authorities if you have questions. Plant heights, flowering times & hardiness observations are based on our experience in east central Minnesota. They are offered here to aid you in plant selection. Please understand, however, that environmental conditions, soils & other factors in your geographic area may affect all of them.
MINIMUM ORDER: We will gladly accept any size order for pickup at the nursery but ask that all shipped orders be at least $25.00, not including the shipping charge.
TERMS: Full payment, including shipping charge, is required with each order. We accept personal checks and money orders as well as Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Credit card orders are charged when we ship the plants. Minnesota customers please add 6 1/2% sales tax to the total of your plant order.
DELIVERY INFORMATION: We time shipments based on our weather as well as on the appropriate planting time for your area. Orders are dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis by climate zone. If you have a special time when you want your order to reach you, we will do our best to accommodate you. Our spring shipping season generally begins about the middle of April and is done by early June. In fall, we start shipping about August 15 and finish by the end of October. We ship most plants in spring or fall but certain grasses are shipped in the spring only. Siberian Iris and Martagon Lilies are shipped only in fall. We ask that you use separate order blanks for spring and fall orders and include the appropriate shipping charge on each of them. We generally ship via U.S.P.S. Priority Mail, U.P.S. Ground Service or Spee-Dee Delivery Service. Delivery cannot be made to a P.O. Box or APO address so please provide us with a complete street address and daytime telephone number.
SHIPPING CHARGE: Please include the following shipping charge with your order:
$10.00 for orders under $75.00 $12.50 for orders over $75.00
Customers in the 48 states may opt for U.P.S. Three-Day Select service. This guarantees delivery of the package within three working days and costs $25.00. For customers in Alaska and other distant locations, we ship via U.S.P.S. Priority Mail for $30.00.
SUBSTITUTES: Since certain plants may be in limited supply or we may experience a crop failure, we encourage you to list substitutes in the space provided on the order blank. If no substitutes are listed and we are unable to supply a plant, we will send a refund.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT: We will send notice with an approximate shipping date unless your order is received within two weeks of that date.
CANADIAN CUSTOMERS: Minimum order is $200.00 plus $75.00 for inspection and export preparation. Please include import permit, shipping label and 30% shipping charge with your order.
AGRICULTURAL REGULATIONS: Certain states, such as AL, AR, AZ, CA, FL, ID, KS, NM, NV, OR, TN, UT, WA and WI have tight regulations concerning the shipment of potted perennials. However, since we are a state-licensed nursery handling bare root stock, we do not anticipate any problems continuing to ship to these areas.

If you would like to remember a special gardening friend with a gift of plants, we do have gift certificates available. Please feel free to use our gift certificate form, but we ask that you adhere to our $25.00 minimum. A gift of plants will serve as a fond remembrance of your friendship for many years to come.
